Loud sounds can damage the sensitive structures in the inner ear, causing hearing loss or tinnitus. The louder the sound, the less time exposure it takes to cause damage. While HPDE events aren’t as loud as a NASCAR race, it’s still important to protect your ears and use ear protection at HPDE events.
