My favorite quote of all time comes from Albert Einstein. He said, “A sure sign of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting something to change.”

So what are you doing this off-season to prepare for the next? Anything different from last year, or the year before that?

Are you satisfied with how you performed this past season? If so – and you don’t want to perform better next year – going about your off-season preparation the way you did last year is a good strategy. But if you want to improve, what are you going to do differently?

  • Study video and data
  • Use mental imagery to develop your techniques
  • Work with a coach
  • Practice (legally) on the street
  • Take a driving school
  • Use a driving simulator
  • Attend a seminar
  • Start a physical fitness program
  • Read a book
  • Develop and use a mental training program
  • Or…

Take some time in the off-season to think about and implement some changes, and you’ll see even better driving next year.
